Cannes Yachting Festival
THE INTERNATIONALLY RENOWNED CANNES YACHTING FESTIVAL RETURNS 6th – 11th SEPTEMBER 2016
More than 50,000 enthusiasts will fill the ports at each end of the Croisette to discover the world’s most beautiful boats at Cannes Yachting Festival.
Recognised as one of the most important international boating events and Europe’s largest in-water show, the Cannes Yachting Festival is known for its eclecticism and the wealth of vessels presented. More than 600 boats and yachts from 2.10 metres to 52 metres are exhibited by the world’s greatest shipyards and most famous brokers.
Cannes Yachting Festival is the first to take place in the international yachting calendar and therefore forefront in showcasing the highest number of new model launches (107 worldwide debuts out of a total of 191 total premiers) and most innovative designs. This year’s worldwide premiers include Monte Carlo Yachts 80, Sarp Yacht 46, Benetti 116, Perini Navi – Dahlak, Oyster Marine 745 and Hanse Yacht 675.
To round out an already rich offering and to confirm its top-of-the-range positioning, the Cannes Yachting Festival is making waves with the launch of a new area devoted to luxury houses: La Terrasse.
Adjacent to the Festival beach, La Terrasse boasts a 180-degree view of the biggest yachts on display at Vieux Port, the Bay of Cannes, the Croisette and the Lérins Islands. This new area built on a pier will create a unique experience for attendees, where they can satisfy their taste for these exceptional products and admire the unique craftsmanship and art de vivre of these luxury brands.
2016 marks the tenth anniversary of the Brokerage & Charter Area at the Cannes Yachting Festival on the Port Pierre Canto dock at the other end of the famous Croisette. It can be reached by a short, seven-minute boat ride from the old port. The biggest international brokers as well as some small Mediterranean brokers are offering big second-hand yachts on sale or on charter. A very good way to try first before buying a brand new boat later.
Inspired by the success of the 2015 launch, the Cannes Yachting Festival is organising the second edition of the Concours d’Elegance on Thursday, 8 September 2016 at 5pm. This one-of-a-kind parade is an opportunity to delight in the pageantry of vintage and modern day boats and to pay tribute to the rich history of boating on the French Riviera.
This year, the Cannes Yachting Festival has partnered with German car manufacturer, Porsche, as the event’s official carrier. Porsche will be providing a fleet of vehicles under the banner of Cannes Yachting Festival.
As a partner, Studio Harcourt Paris will provide a unique experience for visitors and exhibitors, at the heart of the show. Photographer to the stars since 1934, Studio Harcourt Paris will set up a studio in the Palais des Festivals where visitors are given the opportunity to have their photo taken by the legendary studio.
Furthermore, Cannes Yachting Festival has also signed exciting partnerships with Louis Roederer Champagne, Façonnable and Interni. These internationally respected brands will further enhance the unsurpassed luxury experience for visitors to the Festival.
